"The Rhythms
of New York" is a TV series that examines the unique
musical scene that helps make NYC the “Media Capital” of the world.
This diverse program is Produced and Hosted by Dave Brodsky, and
Co-Hosted by Erica Cuevas, showcases various Artists and Bands ranging from
beginners to highly seasoned professionals from a vast array of
cultures. "The Rhythms of New York" will follow
respected entertainment industry veteran, Dave Brodsky, as he
examines the hugely, diverse range of music genres that exist in
NYC. Dave doggedly scours The Big Apple for Artists and Bands that
help to make up its musical heritage and then showcase their
performances. These performances will be recorded live and be
combined with interviews of the Artists. These interviews will
enable the viewer to share the dreams, ego, and indecision that are
a part of being a musician in the fishbowl that is New York.
Whether it’s
Reggae, Blues, Jazz, Country, Rock, Rap, Gospel, etc., Dave and
Celinez will seek out the
things and music that make up: "The Rhythms of New York"

ATTENTION NY-BASED
BANDS:
New York based bands (2-5
pieces)
interested in performing on "The Rhythms of New York"
should send an email to
bands[at]rhythmsofny.com with a link to their website or
MySpace page.
Bands perform three
original tunes (no cover songs) live
in the studio - no singing to backtracks
(CDs).
Bands need to bring
all of their equipment to the studio (ie, instruments,
PA, amps, cables).
Bands are not paid for
the performance but receive a DVD of their show for their own
use.
Songs which contain
obscene or objectionable lyrics are not permitted.
